Week 12
Please send each other your revisions, and cc: LC. Please also read and send each other any comments that you believe are new and important. Please prepare a 3-4 minute excerpt for reading. This means to practice out loud lots of times, until you are absolutely easy with reading. As you likely know, drama, amusing anecdotes, and color read best with a live audience. Pick what will work and give folks a sense of the flesh and narrative feeling on the bones of your theses. Our reading is scheduled for Friday, 2 May, at 3:45PM at the Writer's House. Tell your friends; make'em come, and prepare accordingly! Portfolios are due between Friday and Monday, 5 PM. Week 11:

Write a first draft for next class. Take the information about the structure and reach of the program that you got from Dr. Leff and Christine along with the research paper abstract information and write about that separately (for Wed/Thurs) From the notes that you took during your visit at Childs and your talk with the facilitators and Dr. Leff, find anecdotal evidence of excellence and write the individual stories. (for Fri/Sat/Sun) Mark the paragraphs and figure out how to organize them in physical space. Call Christine if tiny questions arise. (Sun/Mon) Naomi Write a first draft for next class.
